Typical Chef & Brewer pub but in nice surroundings food nothing special and not a lot off it wine rather expensive for poor quality suggest finding somewhere else . BDVOLTMAN - 3 Oct 2014 11:38 |
I don't normally leave reviews but feel in this case I must. I can't believe the negative comments regarding this pub. We have visited Ferring for many years on holiday and the Tudor Close is a large part of our stay. The lovely man who owns it is always pleasant and we have certainly never been made to feel unwelcome just because we are not local. I find this a really strange comment for anyone to make - do these people try to make friends with the locals? Or do they just assume that they should receive the red carpet treatment just because they are on holiday? Last year we celebrated our Silver Wedding Anniversary and rather than head for the bright lights of Brighton we chose the Tudor Close and I can say we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, the staff were polite and friendly and we couldn't have asked for more. I just think some people like complaining for complaining's sake!! All I can say is we are heading down there again in July and I can't wait IWANTTOLIVEINFERRING - 15 Jan 2011 20:21 |
Beautiful frontage leaves one unprepared for this thoroughly dreadful place with a strange smell, though not a whiff of class.Atrocious institutional food served up with florid 1980's menu descriptions. What sort of person is the owner of a place like this?Someone who knows the price of everything, and the value of nothing perhaps. julianji - 9 Jun 2010 18:04 |
Nice looking pub - good beer - excelllent friendly young waiting staff in restaurant - food!! Sunday lunch - congealed gravy, cold tough meat - worst meal for a long time but in verey nice surroundings. JohnandSue - 13 Apr 2008 20:53 |
