Slightly disappointed on our recent visit. Food service slow and the food average at best. Nobody checked back either to see if everything was okay with the food (even JDW can usually manage to do that!) alexw - 29 Jul 2018 13:07 |
A decent friendly pub next to the station, food-centric but well kept cask ales available too. alexw - 11 Nov 2014 09:26 |
You are always made to feel welcome in this pub, the beer is a bit pricey tho, but it is a nice cosy pub with very friendly staff carlsberg - 2 Jan 2010 23:32 |
I used go in this pub all the time but i haven't had time to go back. When i was there the bar staff are all really friendly, i walked in there not knowing anyone but walked out knowing nearly everyone. Food is superb especially on a sunday (carvery) if you dont like something they would see if they had something you did like. very nice to take the parents into. All they could do to make it a little better is to have different music playing in the background. nugget - 17 Apr 2006 04:00 |
Corporate food pub but still ok. I've always found it friendly and accommodating. Real ales from larger brewers. Rivington - 10 Apr 2006 15:00 |
