The current landlord needs to cheer up a bit. My wife says he looks like John Malkovich with piles. TONTO - 21 Mar 2017 11:47 |
I love this pub! Very friendly bar staff, wide choice of well-kept beers. Good, old-fashioned pub decor that is slightly faded and shabby, just how it should be;. No fakery, pretension or sign of big-brewery money-grabbing. Always busy. Has that indefinable something which makes a pub special. Live music now and then, which really draws the crowds. Excellent. moleskin - 12 Jul 2012 23:42 |

He's done wonders in a very short time. The hanging baskets are full of flowers and there's food, I think Thursday to Sunday. It must also be one of the dog friendliest pubs I have ever been to. It seems to be the rule in Colne that you have to walk your dog via the Lord Rodney. bradwan - 23 Aug 2007 21:49 |
Had a great night in here - four local guests always on tap and some beautiful food make the ALR the place to visit in Colne. The locals are quite friendly too.... eddierowles - 20 Aug 2007 13:23 |
