| The Red Lion is a good pub; one of the nicest in Colne centre. Good atmosphere, good decor, cosy small rooms and a friendly open area around the bar. Fabulous fireplaces. The clientele are a mature crowd, the pub has always been fairly busy when I've been in there, and it doesn't suffer from loud music or a TV showing football. It's a Samuel Smiths pub so all beers (and everything else on sale probably) are Samuels Smith's own brand. This is no problem however, as all the beers I've tried in the Red Lion and other Sam Smith's houses have been very good. I can recommend the draught bitter, mild and stout, and as for the lager, a friend says that is good too. Cheap as well! moleskin - 21 May 2012 19:59 |
