| My Grandad (Norman Gaskins) used to drink here with his cronies every night in the 1970s & 80s.....until he passed away - infact I think they put a plaque & named the little anteroom after him (Normans Room). They used to drink White Shield and every evening the landlord would put a full crate of the stuff underneath their table, then at the end of the night they would pay up by counting the number of bottle caps. | Attempted to get served on a Saturday afternoon after match at the Stanley with my well behaved 12 year old. Refused service because of this.
