I'm always amazed that people expect second helpings at a pub which supplies a carvery! Why do you think you should have more for your money than is provided? I haven't tried the carvery here, but if it said "All you can eat for a fiver" outside in lights, I probably wouldn't anyway.

After visiting the Lamb and Lark for a carvery, i was very disappointed. The food was poor value for money, no second helpings. The staff were rude with aggressive behaviour and the service was very poor. At the end of the meal we were over charged on a set meal price.

Beer's good. Food's good. Not been in during evening session, but lunchtime was fine.

Use to use this pub reguarly in the 70's and 80's. Dropped in earlier this year and was somewhat disappointed, Bar had been shifted and looked more like a childs playroom than a pub. But it was lunchtime and it was not busy. Can't comment on the food as I didn't try any. This pub can be (and has been) a truely great local (anyone remember Johnny Gamble?). Dissapointed but I will give it another try.

Gave the place another chance last night and have to say it was a really enjoyable experience - the food was excellent and very good value and the ales - St Austell's 'Tribute' and Box Steam's 'Tunnel Vision' were both 10/10. All it needs now is an occasional smile from the dour landlady and this could be a cracking little pub.
