I wasn't expecting this pub to be open late afternoon one weekend in January. But it was open and it was packed. Wessex Potter's Ale & Crockerton Classic were the two real ales. Bar staff were really friendly. Had to use the ladies, as the gents were out of order. Nice, unpretentious local. blue_scrumpy - 4 Feb 2018 16:34 |
Hadn't been here for some time, but it is a very pleasant place: well-kept local Wessex Brewery beers and some very tempting looking food. I suspect I will be back again to eat (having gone off the George a mile down the road a bit because of their re-furb). 8/10 (so far) HenPen - 24 Nov 2013 16:57 |
Stayed here at the weekend. Accommodation is high quality and reflects the whole package; not overly gentrified, great food and excellent beer (Wessex Brewery - Crockerton Classic). Highly recommended. WildGoose - 6 Mar 2011 17:42 |
Attended here whilst staying nearby with wife and daughter, excellent choice of Beer, cider and wine, a knowledgable and keen staff. I seem to recall three real ales on tap but i may be wrong it had been a hot long day and i needed cider!! Food highly reccomended, quality very good , potion.. not as big as liked and service very good too.. A small pub just off the main road in Crockerton which is a small village that goes on forever... Here we are down from west London two years later returning to the Bath Arms for a birthday lunch with firnds in Warminster. Same excellent food and service and nice to see the restaurant full at 12:30 pm on a Tuesday lunchtime. This speaks volumes. Still highly recommended. wal - 10 Aug 2010 21:05 |
