A really great little local pub that keeps its different bar areas. Back bar is for locals and front and snug for walkers and the well heeled of Croscombe. Good selection of beer, including some Adnams (unusual for this area) and a decent pint of cider. Only down side is its closeness to the main road, until they by-pass Croscombe though, thats not going to change. Still well worth a visit though.

Wonderful little village pub that has somehow retained it's traditional feel and sense of community. Locals were all very friendly and chatty, Landlord and Landlady were perfect hosts and the ale was spot on! Well worth a visit! 8/10

Visited this pub after following a walk in book "Pub Walks Near Bristol & Bath" by Nigel Vile.
We stopped for Sunday Lunch. 6-50 for roast beef, yorkshire pudding, peas, carrots and broccoli. Agree with previous comment, not nouvelle cuisine but good pub grub and execellent value for money. Seemed a friendly place. Very clean although very 70's but this makes it charming not tacky. Not much parking but plenty on road parking at top of street next to it.

It is a cosy warm and friendly local. Lots of talk and good beer. Always a choice of local beers served well. The bar food is very tasty and plenty of it, pub grub not nouvelle cuisine.
Stayed here several times. Comfortable and clean accomodation plus a hearty full english breakfast.
It is also dog friendly pub and there are some wonderful walks nearby..
