Being a resident in East Grinstead, I visited this pub for the first time last weekend. Sadly the experience was horrendous. The pub hosted a very small group of wanna be football hooligans who decided to irritate other drinkers with a stream of confrontational, racist and homophobic comments. The bar staff were hopeless in dealing with the situation. One to be avoided at all costs. butters1 - 31 Oct 2011 08:53 |
A very nice place to drink since the new management took over, lots of friendly bar staff and a great atmosphere. timaddy - 28 Dec 2009 12:18 |
a kids playground since the oz landlords departed. proud parents getting drunk whilst their brats run around causing havoc. gone is the early evening relaxing pint after work .avoid if you want a quiet pint after a hard day at the office. 1dave - 31 Oct 2009 17:32 |
I have always been weary about stepping foot into this pub, until now that is, the new owners seem to be cleaning the place up nicely. The food is great, probably the best in town. Price's are reasonable. And there is a lot more seating now. Well done to the new Landlord's. Lets hope it goes from strength to strength. anonymous - 4 Jul 2007 16:23 |
I popped in for the first time today at lunchtime. It wasn't very busy but the welcome was okay. Only one real ale on(Pedigree)- or was it, because it didn't seem to have the Burton "snatch" to it, unless the recipe has changed. Nothing to write home about and the Sky Sports on the screens was distracting. Ordinary - 7 Jun 2007 15:19 |
