| Has been closed for several months but apparently this is for refurbishment and the place will eventually reopen. Some external work has been carried out with modern signage etc. removed and the carved name of former owners Patens exposed. There has been no sign of further progress for some time, though. | Always busy and lively. Popular with younger clientele and feels more like a wine bar than a pub. However they usually have a couple of real ales available and kept in good condition. | Fantastic pub! Great lunch deal, only �5 for a meal and a drink! We went mid week and it was really busy with a great atmosphere. Staff were very friendly. Evenings, especially weekends its a very lively fun place to be. Brilliant dali - 6 Aug 2009 16:19 |
