Had a great meal but had to be sick outside andrewchase - 10 Feb 2014 15:37 |
Enjoyed a very good pint of Broadside here. Also had Adnams bitter on draught. Booked a table in the restaurant and were very pleased with the food, good portions, well presented and quality was excellent. The manager and bar staff were attentive and provided a good service throughout the evening. We will be back! smurfy33 - 8 Mar 2010 22:23 |
Ate here a while back and thought the food was reasonable. There were a few people sitting drinking, looked like business men, but other than that it wasn't busy. JayF - 8 Jul 2008 21:13 |
I must say, I was looking forward to this after it had made the AA pub guide for essex. I was however quite disappointed. The three ales on offer were GK IPA which is avaliable in most places, and not one of the best; the other two were off. The menu does look very good, but for the price, and atmosphere - I've found better places to go back to. born2booze - 30 Nov 2006 22:59 |
I agree; not really a pub any more. The owners have capitalised on their reputation for good food and ram packed it with restaurant tables. This means that it's nigh on impossible to find somewhere to sit if you just want a pint and difficult to get to the bar which is surrounded by locals. Good food, shame about the pub seating. anonymous - 3 Jun 2006 17:12 |
