Clean but slightly cold with all that glass and steel giving it a fairly antiseptic feel. Ales were acceptable at 3.00 a pint, although mostly everyday brands. Not really my kind of place, but it seemed busy enough. Buddywindrush - 16 Mar 2011 15:21 |
In here prior to Leftfield concert - had a pint of Thwaites Wainright 2.90. It was good and tasted like Wainrights I have had before - this place seems to manage it's ales well for such a busy place - fair play to it. Returned later and had two Cuba Libre which was expertly made with the minimum of coca-cola and maximum Havana Club Rum. kernott1 - 13 Jun 2010 22:22 |
Visited Easter Sunday - beer fest was on! Absolutely excellent range of ales and ciders on offer. Feels more like a cafe than a pub, but has a fabulous beer menu. ed_hodge - 6 Apr 2010 20:59 |
good bar! henrytetlow - 29 Sep 2006 12:41 |
Fashion police?? I work at KRO2 and we have a very relaxed door policy [i.e. jeans, trainers, T shirts are fine!!]. I'm biased cos I work there BUT the place is pretty much spot on. Huge selection of lagers on tap, usually 3-5 bitters and loads of bottles beers. The wine list is regularly refreshed and there's a huge choice of spirits. Food... the vast majority of dishes are home made and good quality. I eat there a lot when not even working, as do plenty of my mates. The food is far better than most bars, good value and is served til 10pm every night. There is also a very tasty restaurant menu and the new head chef has recently added some delicious new dishes. Try it out... beers / coffess / cakes / 3 course meals ... you can even sit outside when it's p*ssing down cos of the outside heaters... Ali_McG - 28 Sep 2006 00:35 |
