I’d disagree with the previous comment. Surprisingly decent selection of ales for what felt like being in a hotel bar. Can’t for the life of me remember what I had but went down well. duchyjim - 16 Feb 2018 21:19 |
Sought refuge here after the screeching and squawking kindergarten across the road though had to settle for lager as they didn't have any (noticeable) ale on. It does feel like a proper pub here though. Snarling_Mallard - 3 Apr 2017 20:27 |
Nice exterior and interior, but no real ale. Therefore a bit naff. Why oh why can't a pub serve at least one ale on a handpump?! dpaajones - 30 Oct 2010 19:54 |
This pub has a great looking black and white timbered exterior. Has a very large tap room to the left dominated by 2 dartbords (I in use) and 2 huge TVs. There is a small lounge to the right with comfy seating. Two handpumps on the bar, both badged Bass. No Bass was actually available. The landlord was so busy talking to the lounge customers that he had to be told by one of them that I was waiting to be served. Ended up having a pint of fizz. I should have walked out really as the clientele consisted of half a dozen loud blokes whose every third word started with F. Has accomodation available but nothing could persuade me to stay here for a night. Not good. ROBCamra - 5 Feb 2009 11:23 |
