3 ales on, efficient barman, had Wells 'Bombardier Glorious English', a decent ale. alehippy - 19 Sep 2018 20:19 |
Decent pub, smoking area at rear, barman was friendly; the Banks'' ''Amber Bitter'' was a decent enough pint. alehippy - 15 Sep 2017 15:45 |
Another first for the day was my visit here. Due to the rugby at the weekend there was only the one bitter on but the lack of choice was more than made up for by the conversation with the landlady. manontrain - 14 Feb 2017 15:25 |
Called into the Hop & Friar Saturday afternoon (first time in yonks I've visited this place) and it was quite good. Staff helpful and nice atmosphere, and they now have HD TV screens around the pub (showing Sky Sports News when I was in there), so looks like I have another pub to watch football or Formula One in! A good experience overall, and this place is very much back on my `Favourite Pubs in Town Cenre' list. SilentButDeadly - 3 Nov 2010 17:07 |
