We went for lunch today, VERY disappointed. Carvery did have a good selection of meat and veg but sat down and all was cold. The other dish ordered was a gammon steak which was thin, dry and stringey, basically rubbish. The lady who greeted us when we arrived was really friendly, however the waiting staff left a lot to be desired. When our drinks were served there was a spillage on the table which was not cleared, we had to find a napkin to wipe the mess up. Nice pub, could do a LOT better. Grill - 23 Jan 2011 19:17 |
I went to the bunbury arms yesterday for sunday lunch. The carvery was LOVELY. They had a selection of four meats, and eight vegetables. All fresh! They advertise using local fresh produce too. I was suprised that they also run a full menu on a sunday. The staff were attentive and extremely friendly. I couldnt disagree more with the previous comment. I cant wait to go back again. I would definately recommend it! Jessie missgiggles - 2 Aug 2010 11:34 |
I agree with previous comments. Very disappointing carvery (not particularly cheap!) Vegetables not very enticing, thin gravy, stuffing which looked as though it had just been tipped out of packet, and not even cooked! Two work colleagues also visited over the weekend and had the same comments. Will not be returning sueperleeds - 26 Jul 2010 17:41 |
went there on a sunday evening around six nice and quite but was soon disapointed by the slow service and the dissapointing carvery, i have been to the bunbury a few times and i think it may have changed hands as the food was nowhere near as good as the past, the veg was rock hard the gravy was thin and the meat selection poor, i hope they pull there socks up because its a real nice pub hate to see it go down the drain. spoony86 - 31 May 2010 22:06 |
