Friendly pub that is now community-owned. There is a single room, which a large TV screen at one end. A live FA Cup game was being shown. A few people were having lunch. Others had their dogs, whilst most stood around the bar. London Pride & Wherry were the real ale offering.

This is a locals pub and hence normally full of locals. Having said that we were made to feel welcome. The ales on offer were Bomdardier, Eagle IPA and Spitfire all in tip top shape.
There is a fairly good food menu and the prices are a little high for pub food but from what we could se the meals were ample portions.
The pub has regular music and themed dinner nights which seem to sell out very quickly.
All in all an OK pub if you are passing but would not go out of my way to visit.

Our family visited this pub on Sunday at 12.30. It was empty except for four people standing at the bar. We ordered a pint of Landlord and some cider, cokes and crisps. The only place to sit down that was not laid for lunch was at the other end of the room from the fire. The landlord shouted at us for selecting one of the 26 empty chairs and moving it so that we could all sit round the same table. He wanted us to sit on a tiny little stool. This was ludicrous as there were 28 unoccupied chairs in the room. We drank our drinks quickly and left. It was nicer in the rain than in that unfriendly pub.
