Excellent sunday roast. Good selection of ale. Staff very friendly and attentive. Fly infestation on our visit but that did not put off what was a very nice experience. valtojos - 12 Sep 2011 00:33 |
Would agree with 'Kev_And_Jo' s review apart from the completely false comment on microwave food. One of the other pubs does better business on the food front than the Crown, and for very good reason. The other pub didn't actually do food last time I looked. Hope you continue to enjoy the fine ales there... quietriot - 1 Apr 2011 00:59 |
Popped in on Tuesday on the way home from Cambridge, had a lovely pint of JHB, my girlfriend had a cracking pint of Woodfordes Admirals Reserve. Lovely fire, Locals a bit in their own world, but then it is their local! Fella behind the bar very friendly and helpful, will have to eat there sometime soon.... soul223 - 5 Jan 2011 21:52 |
Brilliant village pub with atmosphere, character, well kept beer, particularly the regular Woodfords Wherry, and above all Marcus's excellent food. Clearly the food is freshly prepared unlike the "Break Bros" Microwave stuff dished up at the other pubs in the village. Will always visit when ever in Linton. Kev_And_Jo - 24 Sep 2010 13:38 |
A lovely cosy pub which served a very nice pint of Woodforde's Wherry. Good character and prompt service. I wasn't bowled over by the choice on the menu, but that's more personal preference than a criticism. Would certainly come back for the beer and the ambience though. 4_ale - 19 Jul 2010 17:06 |
