Tried The Bull on recommendation and was not disappointed. My husband ordered The YOungs Bitter which was good he said. Food wise we had a delicious Steak and Stilton Pie cooked to order which was well worth the wait, fresh chips and fresh vegetables completed the meal. Try it you wont be disappointed!! pubbypubby - 14 Oct 2010 14:48 |
Generally busy pub, very much focussed on selling food but it is still possible to go in for just a pint but seating may be limited. Good place to go on a Wednesday evening when they sell fish and chips for about 6. They don't open on Mondays. If you park in the neighbouring Bird in Hand car park and then drink in the Bull, the battle axe landlady there gets really gets very annoyed. zoomy - 14 Jun 2010 23:53 |
Just been back to The Bull with girlfriends and had another superb meal all cooked fresh and definetely worth the wait - the place was buzzing. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will almost certainly go back within the next month hertsfriends - 6 Feb 2010 00:54 |
we visited The Bull one lunchtime in December what a wonderful place. the fires were roaring (two of them) my husband sampled both the Adnams and the London Pride which were very good. Everything is cooked to order and fresh. I had the fish and chips and my husband the pie. Well worth a visit! hertsfriends - 4 Feb 2010 23:16 |
