Sadly the Lion was closed when I passed it yesterday (17th August 2013). It is now a Potty Pancakes. Number11 - 18 Aug 2013 21:42 |
Now closed & rumoured to be redeveloped as some variety of Drive-Thru eatery - just what PB needs, somewhere else to eat... pottersbarfly - 3 Apr 2013 14:54 |
Small little"local" on the edge of potters Bar,Two small bars-Lounge Bar with open fire,Background Music and TV,Public Bar used to have a pool table but this has now been taken out,Plasma/Led TV showing the football etc there is also a Digital Jukebox on the wall, but not switched on at the time of my visit. This small place has a lounge bar with a TV and a public bar with a plasma screen, pool table and dartboard. There was a football match on in both bars, but I had to leave the lounge bar at half time as for some strange reason Coronation Street was put on. I didnt feel very comfortable entering the public bar as I felt like I had just walked into a strangers living room and I wasn't invited. There is a standard draught selection available and although one hand pump is unused there is Courage Best. I would walk past if in the area again. Strongers - 8 Sep 2009 21:01 |
