| Wow. After so many years in the wrong hands, the Trowell is reborn and the glory days are returning. Now offering superb food, the like of which has not been seen since Thomas was the chef 20+ years ago, and a pub being run with pride and passion. It's wonderful news for the area, and I can see the Trowell reclaiming its reputation as one of the premier destination pubs in East Anglia. It really is now being run that well. | Under the new licencees, Nick to welcome you in the bar and restaurant and Steve the highly capable chef, the Trowel is back on top form after a long closure. With quiz and curry night on Wednesdays, Steak night on Fridays and Sunday lunches where kids go free the place really buzzes. Bar food is very good and dining in the pleasant restaurant with a great menu and good wines to choose from, the appetisingly prepared food is presented by the friendly and helpful staff.
