| We visited this pub recently whilst on holiday in Suffolk. It was chosen by some relatives who live in the area as a convenient place to meet for a meal. They offered three standard beers on handpump. The Young's Bitter I had was OK but not outstanding. The food was good standard pub grub, reasonably priced - a good place to eat rather than dine. We met there on a Tuesday October night and found it pretty quiet with two other tables in use in the restaurant area and only a handfull of people in the bar. When we returned from the restaurant into the bar around 10 p.m., the bar emptied leaving traces of cigarette smoke behind. No complaints about the staff - they were friendly and helpful. | I have been to this pub quite a few times now. They do nice food and it has been refurbished so is a very venue. The downside is that the staff (management) fall down on their organisational skills. I have booked a party of people to have a meal. But it is a hard job. They don�t send menus when they say they will � you have to chase them. Then they sent a list to book but not the full menu so I had to query items. We arrived to be told 2 times �we are getting your table ready� then �just doing some writing� (eh what!!). Having finally got to the table it wasn�t laid out properly. We had to chase for items and finally the coffee was cold. So sorry they need to get a lot more organised. If they did it would be great as I say the food is nice.
