please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This Pub got a new Landlord and Landlady in Oct 2009.

They have extended the opening hours and really livened the place up. The beer is first class and its a goold old traditional pub.

Sky Sports now installed, overall a massive improvement and definitely worth a visit in passing or if you are in town on business.

One NOT to miss.

Great local pub, as others have stated its a 'proper pub'.

Probably one of the best kept cellars i have ever had the privilege of drinking from, pleasant polite bar staff, friendly locals, great real ales, whiskys etc.

Having moved away from the area for a while and then returned, i didnt realise how much i missed the place, the only reason it doesnt get a 10 is that the opening times can be somewhat strange at times during the day.

Always worth a pint

A true pub, best real ale and Landlord in the area. The beer has been bright and right everytime I've called in for one. Go out of your way for a good pint.

I only use the "Prince" a couple of times a week but the staff are friendly and attentive, a true locals pub, but willing to accept the odd newcomer. The opening hours are a bit odd to say the least, but the beer is well kept and is always worth a visit if you are in the area.

A proper pub

good beer & friendly staff

a good pool table & the jukebox is not bad.

open good hours & most of the patrons are very friendly !

been going there for years & I would class as it as my local even though I now live about 4 miles away.
