A real community pub which seems to be going from strength to strength.Always a welcoming atmosphere and very good to see the Timothy Taylor Landlord back on. We're already looking forward to Xmas lunchtime in The Cross ! bromsgrovebeerboy - 4 Nov 2012 16:18 |
About a mile from the canal but, considering the other local options, well worth it. A large(ish) pub with 3 handpumps serving Enville, Doombar and a n aother when we visited last Sunday. reasonably busy. Very friendly and helpful lady serving, the landlord was busy watching the Ryder Cup but was happy to talk as were several of the locals. No food available. cheshirecat - 8 Oct 2012 11:33 |
Popped in with my wife a few weeks ago and it felt a bit strange. Had a sense that the locals regard the place as their own fiefdom and looked at us as if we had just walked into their front room. The barmaid was nice and polite and the beer fine. Unfortunately the landlord had to send a local outside because he felt that his foul language would upset my wife (we hadn't actually been listening). That was nice of him anyway and so we will give it another try Tancred - 28 Nov 2010 10:04 |
Always a welcoming atmosphere and an excellent pint of Landlord and Enville White normally on along with Tardebigge cider. The only drawback is having to occasionally elbow your way through the regulars who don't like to leave the safety of the bar. bromsgrovebeerboy - 11 Nov 2010 20:15 |
Popped in for a pint for the first time since using this. The had a couple of ales on, Black Sheep and Enville White. I had the latter which was average. Smokers now congregate around the front door which make getting in and out both awkward and unpleasant. Apart from some cobs on the bar, there didn't appear to be any food on.
