| Final pub in Llanidloes for me on Saturday. Still no sign of the hens in the Stag. Still no sign of any real cider either. Apparently they took the real cider out a year or two ago. I don't believe there is any in town now. The 2 ales were Three Tuns Rantipole & Fullers ESB. I hadn't come all this way for a London beer. So I opted for the Rantipole, which was fine. The local youth were holding a rave in the rear room, whilst playing pool. The noise in the bar was a bit too much. But there were more dogs than humans. | A local's pub for local people which manages, nonetheless, to welcome non-locals. I smiled at the sight of the Fullers ESB, nigh on my local brew, but I know my Fullers and it was in tip top nick. The landlord's dog is adorable btw. Big Screen TV showing wendyball stopped me having a third pint mind. Clearly Man U are as a big draw in Llani as elsewhere. workhard - 27 Feb 2015 19:00 |

| Recently refurbished. Sells a couple of good real ales, a local cider (Bill Bleasdale's Welsh mountain cider made 3 miles away), has local band nights. Decor inside is a bit quirky but it's nice pub. rightee - 6 Dec 2009 09:08 |
