After a long spell, the Moorfields is now a great pub again. Geraldine, Deiter, Carrie and Craig are the perfect hosts, it's definitely a pub to visit and us locals are very pleased to welcome newcomers too. goonernut - 16 Aug 2009 20:22 |
A pub that harks back to the 60's and is in need of some TLC, however, the locals don't bite and there is plenty of room to swing a cow or two! I have spent many a happy evening sorting out world politics and laughing insanely at random drunkeness, so it's not that bad really. maltedbarley - 17 Feb 2007 12:52 |
Has had more changes of managers than Chelsea which is problem as the quality of beer is inconsistant. not bad though could do with decorating but I am led to believe that the 60's look is very big. Courage and Bass on handpump and surprise surprise thatchers cheddar valley. Have these people never heard of Westons? HaggisBasher - 29 Nov 2006 09:27 |
Tucked away from other pubs, is a decent joint though, and worth a visit as long as you dont' let the locals scare you - Don't worry, they will get used to you eventually. TheGP - 17 Mar 2005 16:05 |
A nice little pub, if a bit full of old men. In spite of being in oldfield, as yet undiscovered by most students, in spite of the 3 pool tables. If you are gonna go, go on a fri or sat to catch the live music. Only problem is, the locals can tend to stare at you a bit when you first arrive. bs3jdb - 22 Nov 2004 11:22 |
