Went in here whilst on a crawl around Twerton and would happily go back. A couple of Sharps brews on the pumps with Stowford Press and Black Rat for the apple fans. Pool and darts for pub sport, I won two games of Killer, check me out! billybraggscombiboiler - 14 Feb 2011 15:44 |
Popped into here on the way from Oldfield Park Station to Twerton Park, and was really impressed by the friendliness of the landlord and the local I chatted to at the bar. It's a bit invidious comparing it to the Royal Oak - it's not trying to be the Royal Oak. But what it does, it does well. I shall return when I next go to watch Bath City. old_toad - 5 Sep 2010 15:39 |

To PeoplesPalace, you may not wish to hear that it has been sold and is currently being renovated, but you needn't be put off! It is now a Free House, with beers priced accordingly. The new landlady and landlord are keen and have listened to the locals when making changes and bringing in beers. It is a friendly pub as you say, and the opening hours have been extended. Well worth a visit. Bath_bloke - 12 Jul 2010 20:03 |
Mediocre pint of 6X,still bit pointless drinking here though with the royal oak just down the road, 6/10 fat_beer_badger - 5 Feb 2008 11:33 |
