| When I moved in up the road my flatmate was fearful of this place, mainly because of the grim exterior and the anonymous jerk chicken take-away next door that loosely resembles a Compton swap-meet in the evenings. Once you're inside, though, this is a charming little pub, a million miles away from 'skunkweed!' Brixton outside. The decor is archaic but the locals are friendly and the drinks are cheaper than Cold Harbour Lane.
