Went into this pub once but there was no-one there, no drinkers, no bar staff, no-one. Eerie Portuguese grill still going strong and has thankfully kept the "Woodcocks" on the exterior mysterybadger - 10 Dec 2009 12:18 |
gentrification. this place is now a portuguese grill, and will probably survive for about 3 months given the level of custom el_scook - 6 Sep 2007 23:16 |

When I moved in up the road my flatmate was fearful of this place, mainly because of the grim exterior and the anonymous jerk chicken take-away next door that loosely resembles a Compton swap-meet in the evenings. Once you're inside, though, this is a charming little pub, a million miles away from 'skunkweed!' Brixton outside. The decor is archaic but the locals are friendly and the drinks are cheaper than Cold Harbour Lane. Well worth a visit if you like the more jagged side of London nightlife. lancalot - 6 May 2005 12:03 |
Is sited next to a VERY dodgy looking gangsta hangout. Don't know what inside's like, however. Wullie - 28 Jul 2004 15:47 |
