Don't order the wild boar burger. Cup of chips four onion rings and a burger that looked and tasted like it came for MacDonalds for 99p. Realy poor value and when complain got fobbed off with the excuse "that's how it comes, wild boar is expensive"!!. Not that expensive for a 5mm thick burger and a soggy bun. Bad attitude from chef. My first time visiting in years will not be returning again. chopper47 - 27 Oct 2014 14:15 |

Pub doubles up as a lodge type hotel. Can get busy. Not really much character. northernguy - 29 Aug 2005 12:54 |
Bigish, smoky Victorian pub/inn complete with authentic Dickensian punters. Food service is fast and choice improving. Can be sluggish at the bar with insufficient staff, especially on a footie night. Purple parasols have tarted up the outside. Jean Langan - 7 Sep 2004 21:35 |
