I notice that the old Yates building is being done up at the moment . Does anyone know what it's going to be? Shaft - 10 Aug 2009 14:02 |

They've made me redundant, I take back all the positive things I said about this place SSJ - 25 Feb 2008 19:21 |
I live in the US now but I remember when Yates's first opened in the mid 90's.This place was heaven has it really gone that bad in the last 10 years or so .Surely it can't be as bad as LA where I'm living now, sure hope it's not too bad coz when I go bad to visit Lewisham ,Yates's is gonna be one of the first places I hit for a cold brew. My mates and I even quit going 2 the West End when it opened up, what with having to catch a train/nitebus, paying 15/20 quid to go clubbing. Yates's was a godsend when places like Ministry,Limelight Legends etc were charging 30 quid and upwards on New Years Eve. tendai - 14 Feb 2008 10:51 |
I have read the reviews given here and i have to say that they are extremely harsh to say the least. I have been working at this pub for a month now and can I just inform everyone that our plasma TV's are all in colour and have excellent sound quality. It may have been dodgy before I came but it is now fine. Additionally the comments posted here are all negrophobic. (Just for the record, I am not black myself). Yes there is trouble in this pub, but isn't that the same for most/all pubs? And these "rudeboys" spend good money and are just looking to have a good time. I don't see how the way they dress and walk has anything to do with the quality of this pub. The reason why there is a charge at the door is because we are suffering financially... and it's because of people like you who say such horrible things about Yates in Lewisham. I constantly have customers asking me if I have made a mistake on my till because our prices are more than fair. 1.70 per pint on fosters and 1.50 per pint on john smiths. Pretty good don't you think? SSJ - 27 Jan 2008 02:50 |
