I so agree with nirvanerd. The bloke is rude, horrible and self important (can you tell I fell out with him?) He actually pulled the glass of wine out of my Mother in Law's hand when we went there for Sunday lunch because I denied that the car parked in his space was mine, and threw us all out. We didn't have a car with us. We didn't pay either. RedReg - 30 May 2013 23:31 |

I came here last sunday for a roast dinner with my family. The roast beef was excellent. The staff were lovely even if we were late!! (sorry mix up our side) and the Otter ale was in perfect condition. The outside area will fill up in the summer as it is a lovely location (go for a walk afterwards) some previous reviews might put you off but i felt it was a warm and freindly place that I look forward to returning to. By the way 10/10 for the Banoffee pie..(i consider myself an expert!!!) I will return when i am next in the West Country. Phileasphil - 20 May 2011 19:05 |
This was an excellent pub in the 1980s when it was a Heavitree house. The last time I visited was about 15 years ago. I won't go back again. The_Final_Arbiter - 18 Mar 2011 14:22 |
More a restuarant than a pub. Opening hours unpredictable, seems to shut after early evening diners finish eating. Notices banning dogs, cycles and the like. Even if you do want to eat the menu looks a bit esoteric theolester - 18 Mar 2011 14:03 |
