Proper, honest, old school boozer. Very full, but it was New Year's Eve lunch time. Four real ales on - I went for the doom bar. I should have gone for the local Warwickshire Lady Godiva brew. I can have that anywhere. Some photos at my walking blog - http://bit.ly/1OuSqTK Mappiman - 31 Dec 2015 18:13 |
Always liked this place since I got married at the Church opposite. This tripod no exception. This place is nearly full on a Tuesday lunchtime. Beerwise Wye Valley HPA, flowers IPA, abbot ale and Bombardier. Great selection of wines and spirits. I had a steak for lunch which was cooked by someone who knows what there doing, well done. Serves a cracking pint of ale and nice tast food. Building has a bit of character but isn't amazingly impressive. Wouldn't go out my way but if you're near by certainly worth a visit. cls14 - 30 Jun 2010 01:09 |
My family visited this pub last week and we both had a wonderful time. We both ate meals, which were prepared from scratch and not microwaved as they are in some pubs. There was a wonderful friendly atmosphere of local residents and the pub owner Wayne Quinlan introduced himself and we met the pub dog. There was a wide range of beer and wine on offer which we sampled and enjoyed. We dont live in Warwickshire, however, we will definitely be back again to this establishment in the very near future. anna2009 - 30 Mar 2010 12:45 |
