Popped in for a pint Sunday afternoon. More of a locals pub than tourists, with a big interior and pool table. Everybody friendly and the usual St.Austell range of beers... My Tribute was very nice. Barrow_Beer_Hunter - 10 Jun 2015 07:52 |
What a disappointment... The service was not very good and the food left a lot to be desired. Chips with my steak were not cooked properly but were burnt on the outside. A wrong choice of potatos were used. My wifes lasagne was very bland. . The last time we were here the food was very good but the pub has changed hands since then. I think the sign outside saying they sell good food is an offence under the trades description act. We will not be going back there again EVER, mcamp - 13 May 2012 16:35 |
St Austell Brewery pub primarily frequented by locals on the edge of Hayle. They seemed to be doing a roaring trade with their Sunday carvery. Dartmoor Best, HSD, Trelawny, Proper Job & Tribute were all on. Keg cider was Cornish Rattler, Pear Rattler & Berry Rattler. Staff were friendly. But the interior is a little basic. Ok, but nothing particularly special. blue_scrumpy - 13 Jan 2012 20:33 |
Have just spent a lovely afternoon with my family at the Cornish Arms. Haven't been here in a while and the new manager has really spruced it up! The food was great, as was the atmosphere with very kindly staff. And thanks to part of the garden being under cover we were able to enjoy the sunshine whilst not getting wet! Would definitly revisit. Marjorie02 - 25 Aug 2011 15:33 |
after eating and drinking in the Bucket of Blood up the road this was a let down, the food came out in about five mins " DING " and wasn't up to much, ale and service was fine though, but food wise would much prefer too wait the 30 mins + in the B of B for obviously freshly prepared food vinnnie - 5 Jul 2011 13:31 |
