Visited The Iford for the first time in years this week and what a change - very much for the better. I arrived shortly before my guest and observed the way everyone worked together, cheerful and smiling, creating a good atmosphere. The landlady and staff were friendly, efficient, patient with all customers and, even though it was fairly busy, I did not have to wait long at the bar. I must admit to being slightly wary of trying the food as it was so cheap but it was a needless concern. Our lunch arrived in good time, it was hot, well presented and tasted extremely good, we were very impressed and will be going back. A pub that is everything a pub should be. stormdancer - 8 Jan 2011 23:03 |

Bee 578 Cannot agree with you. so far as I recall this pub has no lift and has 3 areas for eating 2 are on same ground level third is up 3 steps only. Have eaten there many times since last report ---Never had bad meal or service Megnom - 26 Dec 2009 18:22 |
What was to be a meal stop became quick drink stop. The half pint of ale was alright. The "Out of Order" sign on the disabled lift meant we could not dine. Appeared to be a standard 2 for 1 pub with the black and yellow menu. I use so many of these I can recite usual menu and this pub had a smaller than normal specials board. bee578 - 30 Jun 2009 02:25 |
I agree with Megnom, this is a great pub, that the staff make you feel so welcome everytime me and my family have been in, the food is very very good, steaks cooked to perfection. and the prices are very low. monday night is cheap beer night, tuesdays is curry night, since the last refurb it is always very busy, but the staff work so well. never waited more than 25mins for food, and thats on a busy saturday night, but they do need more staff on espcially the way this business is going, if you have ever been diaspointed in the past i suggest you go back asap and try it now. you wont be dissapointed. from a table for 1 or table for 50 not a promblem, pool table, t,vs, skysports news, and i have heard they do buffets at requests too. it is well worth going down for dinner or a evening meal, by yourself or with your family. 10out of 10 yet again, well done to the team at the iford bridge, keep it up. me000 - 9 Jun 2009 22:30 |
