Not really a pub. Had to be seated before you could order anything - including beer! The beer eventually arrived approximately 20 minutes after arriving. Waitress was extremely offish when she was asked where our drinks were. Food when oit arrived was good and reasonably priced. If you are walking in the area, this is not the best place to go to, especially if you have a schedule to keep to. Beermap - 27 Oct 2011 23:25 |
Popped in today, walked right out again and the drove to the Black Horse. Do not like the refurb, bar looks awful compared to the lovely wood there before. All tables were reserved, probably for Mothers Day the following day, not many people there at all. juljam - 2 Apr 2011 22:26 |

Hall & Woodhouse........enough said. wolvesfan - 30 Jul 2010 17:46 |
A depressing oblivion about local and regional identify. The menu is OK, standard stuff, but you cannot tell what county, country or even what continent you are in. Anything from Salisbury, Wiltshire, even anything quintessentially English? We searched and searched. In the end we chose fish, joking that perhaps it came from only 100 miles away. However we discovered that it was Hoki, imported from New Zealand, 13,000 miles away! Having a chain, does not mean that everything need be cloaked in homogeneous mediocrity ! Not a clue. tadorna - 30 Jul 2010 17:40 |
