| Have visited several times during last year. A welcoming place which we immediately noticed is sparkling clean; tables, chairs, floor; all wooden and all gleaming. | The Stag,Near ongar, I have visited this pub on two occasions,very friendly pub,with restaraunt down one end,the other end has Darts area,and a Digital touchscreen Jukebox-play any top 40 song going back to 1952. | Having never tried the ale served here thought I'd pop in on way home one day for a quick pint, wasn't overly busy so had a bitter which was lovely , the food menu looked good and they have a beer garden and are kid friendly. The staff seemed ok and I will say I didn't try the food but saw it coming out and it looked good, am going back on a day off with the missus and the little man to try the food.
