Always busy in the Summer months. Could do with a re-fit though - looking a bit tired... Pedigree and two Wychwoods on hand pumps. Barrow_Beer_Hunter - 8 May 2017 09:22 |
I agree with comments below regarding limited beer selection, but overall a very nice pub. Marstons Pedigree and Banks Best and Mild when I visited on a Sunday lunch in May 2014. Fantastic location on Grand Union Canal, with tables actually on the tow path. Friendly staff with good, reasonably priced food. The pub is nicely decorated inside and actually resembles a boat. Seems to have good locals as there was even a meat raffle...! Barrow_Beer_Hunter - 19 May 2014 13:55 |
Again, plenty of hand pumps on show, but only Pedigree or Banks Mild on offer. Not great even by Marston's standards - could at least get a bit of Wychwood, Jennings or Ringwood on. Nice to sit by the canal and watch the boats go by, but this pub is a wasted opportunity. twohalves - 11 Sep 2013 20:21 |
In here last Saturday evening. A nice canal side pub but a disapointing beer selection. 7 hand pulls in groups of 3/2/2 on the quite long bar. 4 were for Marstons Pedigree which was not bad @ 3.10 a pint. 2 for Hobgoblin and 1 for Banks Mild bjbrummiejohn - 6 Aug 2012 12:33 |
i live right by this pub and its a nice place to go for a quick pub meal the staff are very freindly and its a nice place to sit ou in the summer. Not so good in winter. I dont like real ale so i cant tell you about that put its a nice place to stop for meal or quick drink with freinds. Its not a livly pub mostley locals and proper beer drinkers. anonymous - 24 Sep 2007 15:12 |
