Fairly typical Wetherspoons though Bicester is bereft of reasonable drinking houses. The Acorn Barnsley Bitter was just about drinkable. Seems to be a high proportion of the clientelle on DLA judging by the number of sticks and scooters about the place. Snarling_Mallard - 27 Mar 2016 00:07 |
Decent enough Wetherspoon's, I indulged in pints of Copper Coast, The Good Game & Glory, all 3 ales were in good condition. Smoking area at rear, food not bad and toilets on ground floor. alehippy - 20 Sep 2015 15:00 |
Has somehow made it on to Beer in the Evening twice which is twice too many. Like all Wetherspoons, it's cheap but that's where the advantages end because again, like all Wetherspoons, it's an aircraft hangar of a place, full of geezers (young and old), full of day-glo adverts for its wares, owned by a UKIP sympathiser and joint responsible with Costa Coffee and others for the uniformity of Britain's high streets. All wrong then and even the beer selection and taste on this visit was rubbish. BoehmBawerk - 5 Jun 2013 08:11 |
this message is to GRMull, if you think the beer is almost out of date you obviously havent a clue what your on about, the reason the beer is so cheap is because they are part of a chain of over 800 pubs and the bulk buying power they have is that high that they get the beer in that much cheaper!!! Doesnt take a genius to figure out mate!! Jimmy1183 - 27 Nov 2011 11:17 |
As to the comment above....the kids area is at the rear of the pub (half the pub) it is near the garden yes but it is not a small area at all. Also kids are welcome in the family area if they are eating. treborbeans - 6 Jun 2011 20:52 |
