Cricket club bar open to the public. Good beer. A great place to go and watch cricket with a nice pint of Butts ale. Can't comment on the food. Worth a visit especially in summer. newbury_drinker - 22 Mar 2009 10:47 |
The Bowlers Arms, Falkland cricket club is a great place to meet friends and there friends new and old customers every time you visit, no need for membership as the Bowlers Arms also operates as a public house, great atmosphere with pool table and pool teams, dart board with dart teams. HAVE i mentioned the RESTAURANT with head chief Mark and his wife Tracy running the bar with there helpful and pleasant staff where you can find great local brewed beers, lagers and wines and a vast range of spirits. Its a great place in the summer where you can sit outside on the decking area with food and drinks served to you at your table while you enjoy the great English game of cricket from April while watching the sun go down over the west of Newbury, in the sun set and when it starts getting chilly enjoy the rest of the evening under heated parasols listening and joining in with the locals and there banter with each other. please visit your missing out, they are open 7 day's aweek. This is the bar at Falkland Cricket Club. Not sure if it's open other than on match days. Dan137 - 6 Jan 2008 12:00 |
