Much as I remember it from my last visit 30 yrs ago - bit of an 80s time warp but cosy enough. Beer limited to Spitfire and good value food. OK baxterfish - 28 Feb 2016 12:34 |
Fairly uninspiring little boozer, tucked away down a side street at the bottom of town. I tried the 'Spitfire' and must admit it was in great condition. As for the pub.....well, it's dark and a bit bland. Reminds me of a London drinking hole!!! wolvesfan - 22 Sep 2013 10:24 |
It has been a few years since i've been in Winchester. The Bakers has been always a good place to go for a drink, especially this year for the RGJ reunion, where i caught up with a few friends from years going back. I have to say the two young lads who were both working both friday and saturday nights, plus the older gent (who i persumed to be the landlord) were the Dogs Balls! Very Efficient and courteous, do recommended for any future customer. Will definetly be going back the next time im in town. RGJ_1982 - 20 Jul 2011 01:44 |

Those that can't get served in the "Gaol House" (Wetherspoons) will be most welcome in the Bakers Arms. Need I say anymore ? Flybywyre - 31 Oct 2010 23:24 |
