The Jolly Potters is a cracking little boozer with a traditional interior. There is a small bar at the front, complete with a TV, a corridor with a serving hatch, a small games room to one side and another larger room at the rear. Service was very friendly. Beers were Timothy Taylor Landlord, Wells Bombardier & Bass. Pubs like this are hard to find these days. This is one we should continue to cherish, whilst it remains open. blue_scrumpy - 26 Aug 2013 22:02 |
I was there in June 2010 and it doesn't seem to have changed at all since the reviews back in 2005 & 2006. Very old-fashioned pub with good sized garden. Quiet and reassuringly traditional. LadyJanes - 17 Jul 2010 00:09 |
Visit the potters a few times a year as the girlfriends folks live nearby. Always been a friendly local full of characters. Keeps changing hands, I think it has since the last time I was there. Always some real ale about, worth a vist! BoozeBear - 6 Oct 2006 23:57 |
Classic old-style local, like Stockport does so well. I though it was really friendly - Bass was great. Looked like a for sale sign up though. mtaylor40 - 17 May 2006 00:36 |
Small rooms off a corridor. Good enough local, but some of the regulars will get uppity if you occupy the seat they've sat in since 1953. Reckless landlord. simonpalmer - 13 Apr 2005 16:54 |
