I booked this pub for Mother's day 2008 but when we arrived they had no record of our booking. They made no attempt to accommodate us or apologise, they just shrugged. Our party of five left the pub rather embarrassed. They had a terribly rude and arrogant attitude. I wouldn't have much faith in an establishment which offers "muscles and chips" on the "daily specials" menu anyway, would you? Would have liked the opportunity to rate this pub. realalejunkie - 7 Mar 2008 00:28 |
Fisrt time I'd been in the Nelson last weekend and the pub is now geared towards eating - which is no problem as the food was spot on - good to see innovation with the menu and good quality Thwaites on cask. Was quiet when visited but I undertsand booking is recommdned for food during evening. ian.g - 20 Feb 2007 17:19 |
i am regular visitor to the nelson, it has a nice atmosphere and children are always welcome, it has a small childs play area for the under 3's. the views and the walks are excellent from this pub. the food is not bad and staff friendly. i would recommend a visit express - 27 Jan 2005 08:31 |
