What an absolute s**thole. Can't believe it, this pub used to be so great but has all the future of a fu**ing snowman. You walk in and the landlord family look at you as if you'd just taken a dump on the piss-stained carpet, before the rest of the Saturday massive, all failed hooligans try and stare you out (often failing). The pool table is put away at about 4 o clock, so fun is kept to whatever football game is on the TV and whichever 2 bob karaoke firm they've got in there that week, playing songs I could listen to indoors on the radio with my hairbrush in hand. The bar stuff, a solid 4/10 maximum have some of the most upset boats you've ever set eyes upon and the price of the drinks are a damn right liberty. The landlord stands at the door come half 10 like a poor man's Tony Soprano, dunno why he bothers, there's often no fu**er that gives a shit come that time. Joke.

i last came here a few years ago when i was looking after a sick relative, having lived in the area most of my life i thought i would get an ok welcome? but no ! some of the new regulars with northern accent gave me dodgy lookswhicj really irked me having been born and bred in the area, i did give it a few further tries but in the end gave up, Mick the landlord looks like he has had enough and the food i ate there was 2/10 shame it used to be a good pub.

I used to work here and for all you who think its boring; its not! The punters are great and the banter is even better. All food and drinks are served fresh and all the bar staff are friendly! The China is run by a friendly family; with the pubs cat Tom; who everybody loves. Theres karaoke every other Saturday which is brilliant and when the sport's on. from Man Utd, to Millwall to even the Tag/ Touch Rugby groups coming in from April- October - its even better! - the pub is not old fashioned and its not perfect for a night out but for pre drinks with your pals and for a laugh; its the one! Its not spacious; but if it can fit everyone in for the David Haye fight in July; then it can fit loads in! - Not a bad pub at all! Well done Mick & Lyn :)

Good old fashioned simple bar. Not poncy, unlike some others round here.
