I'm guessing the previous review from steve23 is intended to be hilariously ironic? "Up-market and has a great feel" it definitely ain't! The only original thing about this depressing hole is in its name. It is full of apparently under-age scallies with no manners - and that's just the people behind the over-priced bar. The entire Surrey Quays "Leisure Park" is a god-awful desert of vandalised concrete and tarmac. Despite being just over 10 years old, it has been pencilled for demolition and complete redevelopment. Not before time. Woeful and dispiriting. Wharflad - 8 Oct 2008 12:06 |
This place is great, It is full of people who care about what they look like. up-market and has a great feel. I realy enjoy it here, my girlfriend and I go every weekend. The staff are good, know what there doing. Does attract gays, but thats because its dun up realy nice! But you want to have your nose in the clouds and wear all yur designer clobba, perfect place!! steve23 - 7 Apr 2008 13:18 |
Urgh. Overpriced and full of chavs. Got a pitcher of something and it was quite obviously watered down, as well as having a mountain of ice in it. You're better off making the short walk to the bar at Frankie and Benny's or the Wetherspoons on Lower Road. ST2004 - 22 Feb 2008 16:52 |
Oh my god! Bang in the middle of the distastful americanised area of surrey quays, this pub is exactly as you would expect. Go there to spot some burberry caps, if that is your thing. Might find some material to post to chavscum.com! I can't tell you what the beer is like as I did a 180 degree turn as soon as i stepped inside. Next to the Bingo Hall if you like to granny spot!
