A proper pub frequented by proper people. and you don't get many like that any more! There are two pool tables (which don't work on the "put your money down" basis - you need to write your name on the board) and a couple of screens for showing the footie. Quite a few QPR fans drink here so it can get a bit busy on match days but not uncomfortably so. Bog standard drink selection but the staff are friendly. kingston_toon - 14 Dec 2007 12:53 |
Whats your opening bid there Spotcheck ? Those pool tables must be worth a bob or two for their antique value alone. Let me know when you do buy the place. It will take a lot more than Martin Egan and his Mr. Muscle to clean this place up. I was here a couple of weeks back and it hasn't changed much in seven odd years since I was in it last - just a bit grubbier. Good pint though. The_Inspector - 8 Dec 2007 23:16 |

You get spit, you get sawdust and you also get a bunch of Father Jack Hackett lookalikes sat at the bar. If you're familiar with the pubs in this area then you'll already know if this sort of place appeals to you. I'd rather go to this place than somewhere like the Bushranger, but others will violently disagree. pubcollector - 7 Mar 2007 20:54 |
