now this is a pub that i really enjoyed, great food and cocktails, really friendly staff which is very unusual for a cocktail bar newirish - 21 Jul 2012 21:01 |
Quite possibly the worst burger and chips i've ever had in a pub. And for 10 I would expect a lot better! Not the biggest pub in the world either. It's only plus point is the friendly staff but that's not enough to make me ever want to venture back in here. telephones_and_toliets - 4 May 2010 10:27 |
Where to begin - the drinks in this pub are so expensive you would think the Queen was renting a room above it. This is a classic example of a pub so far up it's own backside that it sticks out like a sore thumb in the Ealing area. If I want posh i will get on my unicycle and pedal down to Chelsea not go to an overpriced pretentious lacklustre establishment on the way to Acton! The beers, despite their enormous cost were very nice and the bar staff are friendly enough. The food, although overpriced again, was also very nice. Overall 5.0/10 leejobmod - 1 May 2009 11:44 |
Had some lovely seabass and there's a 2 4 1 on the cocktails early doors so you don't really have to break the bank. Yes it's a little bit "up itself" but that's Ealing for you these days. realalesnob - 28 Apr 2009 19:46 |
Plus points are that it's a nice relaxed bar and the food is quite nice. Bad points are the ridiculous prices of the drinks. 4 for a Czech beer that's less than 50p in the shop accross the street is crazy. tom1968 - 14 Mar 2009 07:12 |
