Excellent Beer (tied Burton Bridge Brewery Pub), homely pub. Worth a visit. Visit blogged at http://bit.ly/2O9rRfy Mappiman - 23 Jul 2018 12:49 |
Back again post football! Ale superb, bar staff really friendly & the Karaoke was a hoot! Wilson_MacDonald - 17 Sep 2017 19:43 |
beer was fine, but bizarrely found this to be far too comfortable a pub inside. A tad disappointing Wilson_MacDonald - 2 Feb 2017 16:04 |
Stopped off for a pint or three on the way to football yesterday, and was very impressed. Decent selection of Burton Bridge ales for just under £3 a pint as well as one guest ale from Herefordshire. Seemed to only be sandwiches available if you wanted food. Friendly and knowledgable bar staff and was very comfortable sat in the lounge area of the pub. Shame to have to leave and go to the game - especially as Plymouth lost in the last minute. Although that was a good reason to pop in on the way back to the station and have a quick pint to drown our sorrows. duchyjim - 14 Apr 2013 20:45 |
This was the last of 2 pubs I had to do in Burton on my crawl day and I enjoyed The Alfred so much I missed The Old Cottage Tavern out of my crawl. I had a pint of Burton's festival ale and it was very good. Large pub with a good smattering of locals as well as people coming back from the football. This and the Burton Bridge Inn for me are the best 2 pubs in Burton. I liked the look of the Coopers but I couldn't get a pint as it was so packed that I can't compare with the other 2 lezford - 19 Aug 2012 16:30 |
