Never been here but why would you convert a Yates's into a Spoons - bit like converting gonorrhoea into syphilis murgatroyd - 29 Dec 2008 21:41 |
Closed - and being converted into a Wetherspoons. When I was there in December, a temporary Wetherspoons bar was outside the hoardings. robhealy - 24 Mar 2008 14:51 |
For a Yates it's actually pretty good (mainly due to the facts the sort of people in drink in Yates are not the sort of people who go on long distance holidays). Needs proper ale though. McDrunk - 31 May 2007 11:41 |
Airport bars have a reputation for lacking atmosphere, something to do with the transient nature of the clientele no doubt. In this respect this place does not dissapoint. On the plus side prices can be lower than some local pubs and, to be fair, the staff do seem to want to please. If you're stuck at the airport and hungry eat here, if you want to eat for pleasure go to the Curry Inn in Horley....but of course you can't because you've already gone airside. stropmag - 19 Nov 2006 21:41 |
This bar is situated in the South Terminal airside. Pleasant surroundings but being a typical airport bar is expensive and has no 'real ale'. jacknicholson - 16 Jul 2006 06:45 |
