This place could be a goldmine. Instead the landlord seems content to allow a clique to gather at the same place every night, on the corner of the bar by the fruit machines, blocking everyone's way and swearing at the top of their voices. It's one of those places where the bar staff socialise with the gang of foul-mouthed regulars and ignore anyone else. The horrible atmosphere fostered by these chav scum drag the whole place down, a convivial atmosphere isn't aided by gangs of builders shouting swear words at each other as the bar staff titter and simper. gorblimeytrousers - 25 Mar 2011 13:13 |
Cracking good pub, great value food - especially the early bird meal deal and the sunday lunch is enormous! Friendly pub with a good local atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit or ten. beercritica - 11 Jan 2010 14:27 |
The Belle Vue is a very welcoming local with friendly, young bar staff (except the landlord, Pete - friendly, that is, but certainly not young!) and a great atmosphere. Perfect for watching football on the big screen and serves great value food. The breakfasts are legend and I don't think there is a better value Sunday lunch in Norwich, a big plate of lots of things covered in gravy......mmmmmmm, bisto! chollingworth - 29 Dec 2009 12:33 |
This pub is dingy and horrible!! A very strange atmosphere inside to say the least, full of old weirdos and teeny boppers!! I'd definately rather go to the Alex which is 30 seconds down the road. norwichgirl - 30 Apr 2009 12:24 |
Great value food and very friendly staff, lovely slightly out of town pub that has a true heart. The early bird specials cannot be taken for granted. Cant complain about the cheap and cheerful atmosphere with true stuffed animals and antique plates on the wall, very authentic atmosphere. moonmonk - 13 Apr 2009 00:08 |
