user reviews of Five Bells Inn, Bridgend
please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
After a visit to the Old Castle, our fourth pub in Bridgend was the Five Bells Inn. This was the third best pub in Bridgend in my opinion. We sat in the front bar, which had a few other customers. I believe there was another bar to the rear. 3 ales were on. Bass & Hancock's HB appear to be the regulars. Timothy Taylor Landlord was the guest ale. We had the HB, which was fine from me. But my drinking partner was not too keen. Moved on from here to Cabo Roche (disappointing) and the Coach Inn (easily the best pub in the town in my opinion). Neither are listed on the site. blue_scrumpy - 9 May 2017 19:36 |
Still a good solid pub with decent ales on tap, well recommended sitewalker - 8 Aug 2013 13:39 |
Nice traditional pub in a town that seems poorly served for the real thing. Note the nice Worthingtons mirror - not seen too often nowadays. Had Sheps Spitfire on. Would go back next time I'm in Bridgend - which is after all the acid test of any pub when you're a stranger in town JohnBonser - 1 Dec 2006 13:38 |
Lovely pub, homely atmosphere - no hesitation about going there again. beth01 - 17 Nov 2006 02:16 |
