Busy Wetherspoon's post football but we were still quick to be served. Decent selection of ale including some very good offerings from Glamorgan. duchyjim - 23 Oct 2016 12:40 |
Large 'spoons just across from the station that isn't half as bad as the reviews below make it out to be. 10 ales on pump being Abbot, Ruddles and the rest are Welsh offerings with several being from Micro breweries. I go for the Chilli Plum Porter from the Waen Brewery @ 6.1%. Busy at 6pm on a Saturday with plenty of people getting ready for their night out as well as being several hen do's in. Decent pub with a nice atmosphere, the last of the 3 pubs in visited in Newport and enjoyed all of them. lezford - 29 Sep 2013 14:00 |
Yes its always full of CHAVs, its Newport afterall. They can be entertaining to watch at a distance;-) The beers well kept and the current manager's well meaning. its a little understaffed for such a busy place but the foods got better lately (out of peak times) so don't right it off. Give it a try if your passing Stuee - 17 Dec 2011 20:49 |
I was going to nip in here for a swift pint while waiting for my take out curry.... what stopped me ? Some obese slapper dragging her poor toddler in a set of reins only stopping to slag some other tart off while her offspring was playing with the discarded dog ends in front of the pub. She finished her slanging match and duly dragged the toddler inside. She wasn't the only bint/toddler combination in the place either. This Wetherspoons is a disgrace even by Wetherspoons standards. anonymous - 10 Jul 2010 23:55 |
